Benchmarkextreme started as a computer hardware blog in March 2009. A month later a full fledged website was launched. The motivation behind Benchmarkextreme was simple: To present unbiased performance analysis of various computer hardware equipment in a clear and useful manner. In today's world, all too often you visit a hardware website to compare the performance of various components and get conflicting information on the same site. One can also notice clear bias in the way certain products are reviewed. This website strives to look into hardware performance aspects which are either misrepresented in the mainstream media, or are simply not touched at all.
Benchmarkextreme is not sponsored by any hardware or software company. Every item ever tested on this website has been in the websites's ownership at some point. 99% of the time, the item has been bought from an e-tailer or retailer, specifically for testing purposes, only to be sold off as Used / Open box items after the relevant data has been collected.
High end computer hardware is expensive....very expensive in some cases, and almost never worth the money you pay for it. But then again, "worth" is a subjective term. In most of my reviews, the primary purpose is to dissect and analyze hardware performance in extreme scenarios; be it gaming, number crunching, synthetic benchmarking, or anything else that requires computer horsepower. I rarely mention the price of a tested item, or a specific product recommendation in the article summary. I believe each reader is different and is perfectly capable of making a judgment on their own. Benchmarkextreme just gives you the numbers, charts, tables and graphs...the reader makes the final call as to what those numbers mean to them.
