Mac mini (M4, 2024)
Previous generationM4
The 2024 Mac mini, replaced by the M6 model in September 2026 but still sold new while stock lasts. Its M4 has a 10-core CPU and GPU and 120GB/s of memory bandwidth; 16GB runs 7-8B language models, at 24 tokens a second in llama.cpp's 7B 4-bit test to the M6's 35. Worth it only at a clear discount to the M6.
