Eight Zen 5 cores at a 65 W default TDP: strong single-thread speed, decent gaming and very low power, so a modest air cooler will do. For gaming the 9800X3D is a big step up; for work the 9900X adds four cores. A sensible chip for a quiet, efficient all-rounder.
